PERFORMANCE
Lincoln Corsair

With any vehicle, the engine under the hood creates the sense of power you’ll feel on the road. Both vehicles provide a reliable engine that gives you the capability to handle anything you might encounter in your travels.

Engine and Drivetrain

The Lincoln Corsair comes with a Turbocharged 2.0L I-4 engine that gets 250 horsepower and 275 lb-ft of torque. It also gives drivers an 8-speed SelectShift® automatic transmission.

The Ford Escape, on the other hand, comes with a 1.5L EcoBoost® engine that gets 180 horsepower and 199 lb-ft of torque, which is easily eclipsed by the base engine of the Lincoln Corsair. The Escape also offers an 8-speed automatic transmission on the base trim level.

Available Hybrid Engines

Both the Lincoln Corsair and the Ford Escape offer available engines, including hybrid options. Although the Escape has two variations—a hybrid and a plug-in hybrid (PHEV)—both produce just 163 horsepower, or up to 192 or 210 total system horsepower.

No matter how you you choose to look at it, the Escape’s numbers pale in comparison to the PHEV version of the Lincoln Corsair, which generates 266 horsepower.

SAFETY
Lincoln Corsair

Safety is a key component of the driving experience. You want to know that you and your passengers can reach a destination safely. Lincoln and Ford are both committed to safety, so their vehicles provide a lot of driver-assistive features designed to help protect you.

Standard Safety Suites

Both vehicles come with either Ford Co-Pilot360â„¢ or Lincoln Co-Pilot360â„¢, which include various features that come standard on the vehicle to help prepare you for potential accidents and help prevent them.

These features include Blind Spot Information System and Pre-Collision Assist with Automatic Emergency Braking, among others.

Additional Peace of Mind

Only the Lincoln Corsair, however, offers ActiveGlideâ„¢ 1.2. This system enables hands-free driving. Plus, it can even change lanes for you when you turn on the blinker.

While the Ford Escape has Active Park Assist 2.0 available, a system that helps you maneuver into parking spots, it goes without a hands-free driving aid that helps you glide into the future of driving.

TECHNOLOGY
Lincoln Corsair

In addition to safety systems, both vehicles also come with a variety of technology features designed to keep you informed and entertained on your drive.

Everything, Including the SYNC®

The Lincoln Corsair and the Ford Escape both use the voice-activated SYNC® 4 system. It allows you to connect your smartphone and access your favorite apps for everything from streaming and navigation to answering phone calls and text messages.

While both the Lincoln Corsair and the Ford Escape offer a 13.2-inch touchscreen, only the Lincoln Corsair comes standard with it. With the Escape, you’ll have to upgrade from the standard 8-inch screen.

Your Private Concert Hall

Of course, true audiophiles know that the best part of any trip is listening to your favorite playlist. As such, the Lincoln Corsair comes standard with the Lincoln Premium Audio System with 10 speakers.

The Escape comes with a standard AM/FM stereo system with six speakers, although you can upgrade to an available 10-speaker system.
